The life and times of a normal university student

Twenty First Post

My blog can legally drink in the US.
But more exciting than that, it's pi Day! I'm even typing this post before midnight, so it's still pi Day. It's the "3.14th Post" I suppose, but whatever.
To celebrate pi Day, I walked to a grocery store and bought an apple pie. I would have made it, but aside from not having any filling, I don't have the makings for a crust, either.
It was a good pie, for a store-bought affair. I'm used to pies made by mother or either grandmother with fresh apples (and lots of them), but it's been a long time since we've had one of those.

On a completely unrelated tack, do any of you readers know anything about electrical physics and equilibrium chemistry? I'm swamped in impossible homework that's all due tomorrow... You know, the usual science major stuff.

Twentieth Post

My blog now has more posts than I have years of life.
In other news, I slept through my first two classes thanks to my alarm having been set for 20:00 instead of 08:00. This would not have been a problem if my alarm clock had 24-hour time. But noooo, I set it to 8 and missed the little "PM" sign up in the corner.
You would not believe how many times this has happened.
Most of the other times, my roommate woke me up. Here is a model of our exchanges: "Don't you have a class?" "(Expletive or feral grunting)" This time, though, she had pulled her first all-nighter and was fairly exhausted by the time she got back, and proceeded to sleep through her third class- my second class.
Now, normally I would wake up by myself at around, 0h, 09:00 if I got to sleep around midnight. I did not get to sleep until after 03:00.
I would call this a "Hell Monday".
The good news is that it is now Tuesday. I like Tuesdays, except I have to wake up for an 08:00 lab. Other than that, they are fairly low-key, no-thinking-required-outside-lab days. Those are nice on days with an 08:00 class.
If you are thinking that my blog has been less than boring lately, keep in mind that I'm bored enough to write it.

Nineteenth Post

Today, I went to the gym on campus and worked out. And got sweaty. Because that's what happens when one works out.
On an unrelated note, I have been going through a Three Days Grace obsession. I vacillate between hard rock, "alternative" rock, and classical, although I always like classical music. I don't always like hard rock and I don't always like alternative. Maybe I'm just liking the hard rock sound because I'm subconsciously angry at my ex-boyfriend still.
That was an unboring thing that happened- this guy is a jerk and a loser; him breaking up with me over a year and a half ago was the nicest thing he ever did for me. And then he texts me out of the blue asking me to date him again... Needless to say, I said no. But I'm still bitter, which worries me. I don't need to be bitter.

If you were dead or still alive... I don't care.

Funny how needing to say that proves that I do in fact care still. Don't get me wrong, I don't want the boy dead. But I need to sing along to that song, just to convince myself that he really doesn't control me any more.
On that note, I usually hate singing along. I am the one who stands at the back of the dance room, if one can even get me to go to the dance, and doesn't even bob her head to the music. I bob my head to this, and then some. And I sing along.

Sorry for the non-boring post. At least me going to the gym was boring...

Eighteenth Post

Today, I went to lab. And then I took a nap. And then I went to work. And then I ate dinner. And then I went back to my room and did homework for about six hours. And that's why this is an especially boring post. And now it is time for bed. Because I am braindead and have an exam tomorrow... Today... Oh, God...

Seventeenth Post

It's been a while. So hi, readers. How have you been? Well, I hope.
Speaking of "well", there's a bug going around campus. My roommate and I got it, but she seems to have progressed into some advanced stage of illness while I am coming out of it.
I suppose you've all heard about Google's social networking attempt, Buzz. Guess what? I don't have any horror stories regarding its existence.
The most "exciting" thing that happened to me in this long absence was giving blood. I did not feel like a reverse vampire. I felt like a person sitting in a weird chair with my feet up and a needle in my elbow. Then I had to lay down. It was pretty boring. Then I went to work.
In school-related news, I'm in a chemistry class. I've done this part before, but I have to take it again because my AP test score was just a bit too low. I was concerned that it would be horrible, awful, and painful to sit through the class all over again, but it's more like a review. It's nice and easy, but challenging enough to keep me from falling asleep in class. Much as I hate to say it, it's not that boring.
Right now, I'm sitting at my extremely messy desk writing this post and thinking that I should do my dishes. But I have my boring job in a few minutes, so the dishes will have to keep waiting... and waiting... and waiting.

Sixteenth Post

As usual, I type this at night when I should be doing homework. But homework is stupid, especially when it's nigh impossible to get the website that the physics and chemistry departments here use to do homework to cooperate. My evening was not boring; it was full of screaming and frustration that the bloody website wouldn't let me submit my answers. Sometimes I hate technology...
And then I get better.
On a completely unrelated note, I just found my tea sitting at my elbow, untouched since I poured the water. I am now slightly sad, especially since it's very weak even after about half an hour. But my thick ceramic teacups hold in heat pretty well... It's still quite warm.
Goodnight, my bored readers. Enjoy your hopefully boring weeks...

Fifteenth Post

You know those people that just grate upon the nerves of all who are around them? They answer all questions, whether or not they were meant to answer them, they insert themselves into conversations that do not involve them, they comment on things that do not require comment... I wish that my class was boring, since it would mean that she wasn't in there. This is why boring is better than exciting. It's exciting, alright, since you're never sure when she'll open her mouth next...
However, the rest of my schedule looks like it should be pretty boring, so my reputation is secure. Right now, I'm blogging when I should be sleeping in preparation for my 09:00 class, which is supremely boring. So now I'm going to go to bed, since I didn't really have anything to say in the first place.
